UPDATING PATCH FILES
====================
A. Update systems with Messenger servers/services deployed
----------------------------------------------------------
Target Files:
Messenger server : M3HostSrv.exe, MsgrHostEng.dll
Exchange Connector : M3ExGw.exe
Print Server : MsgrPrintServeApi.dll
Advanced Fax Server: FAXserveApi.dll
Steps to update all server files:
1. Launch Services Manager for your System Administrative Tools.
2. Stop all 2Point Communication Services (Fax Server, Print Server,
Voice Server, etc)
3. Stop 2Point Messenger Server.
4. Locate and backup all target files (eg: ..\program
files\2Point\Messenger\..)
5. Replace all target files with the new patch files.
6. For Exchange Connector system, also follow next 2 sections B & C
to update all other files.
Otherwise, simply restart Messenger Server (all other services will
startup automatically).
B. Update systems with client and administrator programs
--------------------------------------------------------
Target Files:
Administrator: MsgrAdminUI.exe, TrnFrm.exe, Msgrcl.exe, MsgrView.exe
Client : MsgCompose.exe, TrnFrm.exe, Msgrcl.exe, MsgrGWAB.dll,
MsgrCustomAB.dll,
MsgrView.exe, MsgrOLAB.dll, MsgrWAB.dll, MsgrMsg.exe
Steps to update all client systems:
1. Close all 2Point Messenger programs and dialogs - Compose,
Client, Administrator etc.
2. Select Exit option in the Messenger's System Tray icon.
3. Launch Task Manager and select Processes tab page.
4. Locate, select, and end msgrcl.exe process.
5. Locate and backup all target files in Messenger folder (eg:
..\program files\2Point\Messenger\..)
6. Replace all target files with the new patch files.
7. Continue on next section C to update FAXserve 8 Printer files.
C. Update systems with FAXserve 8 Printers (all clients and Exchange
Connector systems)

Steps to update FAXserve 8 Printers (Client and Exchange Connector
systems):
Target Files: P2PUNI.DLL, P2PDrvUi.dll, stdnames.gpd, P2PDrv.GPD
(NOTE - P2PUNI.DLL and P2PDrvUi.dll are only required for Windows
XP/2003 system.)
1. Quit all application programs.
2. Locate <Windows system folder>\spool\drivers\w32x86\3 folder.
Eg. 'C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3'.
3. Locate and backup all target files.
4. Replace them with all new patch files.
Target File: P2PPort.dll
5. Change to Windows system folder. Eg. 'c:\Windows\system32'.
6. Locate and backup P2PPort.dll.
7. Replace it with the P2PPort.dll file.
6. Need to restart system for the changes to take effect.
