Patches are made available periodically,
please read the included description before
applying any patch to your production server. It
is always a good idea to back up your server
files and database before applying any patch.
*** You should apply patch 02 (Groupwise
FAXserve Gateway) first before you apply
C3PO patch.
How to
apply this patch:
On the FAXserve server:
1.
On FAXserve server, under \FAXSERVE\ folder, create a sub folder called
BACKUP.GW. Now you should have \FAXSERVE\BACKUP.GW\ folder.
2. Copy all files from \FAXSERVE\Client.GW\ folder to \FAXSERVE\BACKUP.GW\
folder (We are making a backup of Client.GW).
3. Unzip C3PO.zip to a temp folder and then copy all files to \FAXSERVE\Client.GW
directory. Overwrite the existing files are OK.
On the
Groupwise Client workstation:
1.
On the Client workstation. Close/Exit Groupwise client.
2. Use Explorer. Go to FAXserve server \FAXSERVE\Client.GW folder. From that
folder, run GWCLIENT.EXE (GWClient.exe
program will install/update all the necessary modules in the client workstation)
Patch (02) - For
Groupwise FAXserve gateway (Download)
Patch Date: 00-00-0000
How to apply this patch:
(Please make sure you have a backup of the original files before you overwrite
them with the new file. We suggest that you create a new folder and put all
original files in this new folder)
NLM.zip contains 6 NLMs. They are GWFAX.NLM, FAXGWSRV.NLM, GWFAXSND.NLM,
FAXLIB.NLM, FAXCONV.NLM, FAXROUTE.NLM.
Before you apply the patches, please make sure to
Unload faxserve
Unload gwfaxsnd
Unload gwfax
On the
GroupWise server:
1 Unzip NLM.zip
2 Unload faxserve
3. Unload gwfax
4. Copy FAXLIB.NLM, GWFAX.NLM and FAXGWSRV.NLM in to SYS:\SYSTEM folder of where
GroupWise server is installed.
(Please make sure you have a backup of the original files before you overwrite
them with the new files)
On the
FAXserve server:
1.
Unload faxserve
2. Unload gwfaxsnd
3. Copy FAXCONV.NLM, FAXROUTE.NLM, FAXLIB.NLM, and GWFAXSND.NLM to SYS:\SYSTEM
folder of where FAXserve server is installed
(Please make sure you have a backup of the original file before you overwrite it
with the new file)
Patch (01) (Download)
Patch Date: 00-00-0000
Patch Files: C1Jar.zip and util.zip
Download the following two files:
C1Jar.zip and
util.zip
1) Unzip the C1Jar.zip file - FAXserveLib.jar,
FAXserveRes.Jar, and FAXserve.Jar.
2) On the Novell FAXserve server, Unload
faxserve
3) On the Novell FAXserve server, go to
FAXserve\control.rt directory, make a backup of
the FAX.EMA (This step is important)
4) On the Novell FAXserve server, go to
FAXserve\misc directory, make a backup of the
FAX.EMA (This step is important)
5) Go to your Windows Administration station
with ConsoleOne installed. Copy these files to
the following directory accordingly.
(consoleone\1.2 is the version of C1, you
might have a different version number) \\Novell\consoleone\1.2\lib\FAXserve\FAXserveLib.jar
\\Novell\consoleone\1.2\resources\FAXserve\FAXserveRes.jar
\\Novell\consoleone\1.2\snapins\FAXserve\FAXserve.jar
*** Please backup your original jar files
first before you copy the new files over.
Make sure you are using Console One version
1.3.6 or 1.3.6C (or higher)
6) Copy these JAR files to Novell FAXserve
server \FAXserve\Admin.C1
*** Please backup your original jar files in
this directory too.
7) Unzip util.zip – it contains fsnwutil.exe
and keyobj.dll.
Copy these two files to \windows\system32
directory. (If you are using Windows 2000, copy
them to \WINNT\system32 directory)
8) Now the patch is done. Back to Novell
FAXserve server, "load faxserve"
